scandalous voting!

HAH!

It seems that Cindy and her family is walking away with more than the Nissan Latio 1.8Ti (A), a RM10,000 preloaded AmBank NexG PrePaid MasterCard, a RM3,000 Wella Professionals hamper, RM1,000 of Escada fragrances, RM1,000 of Bebe apparel and RM500 of Nose footwear.

You know why?

Malaysian Dreamgirl
-> SMS Voting Contest <-

Weekly prizes shall be awarded each Contest Week based on the following winning criteria:
  • i. 3 x weekly prizes worth RM1,000 each for the highest SMS Votes;
  • ii. 25 x weekly prizes worth RM500 each for SMS Votes selected at random.

Here's the winner's list:

TOP VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene
LUCKY VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene

TOP VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene
LUCKY VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene

TOP VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene
LUCKY VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene

TOP VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene
LUCKY VOTER: Tey Chien Shin Eugene

Is it just me, or DO YOU GUYS SEE A PATTERN TOO?

Also, taken from Cindy's blog:
"These are not professional shots- my brother Eugene helped me take em' in my chamber. T-hee!!! Another poor thinggg~ aww...... thanks bro!"

How coincidental is that? No such thing! Her brother MUST be Tey Chien Shin Eugene and he has been winning the TOP VOTER and LUCKY VOTER of the SMS Voting Contest...

...Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 AND Week 4!!!
(Only up to Week 4's winners have been revealed)

At the rate Cindy's family has to vote to keep her in the competition, OBVIOUSLY Tey Chien Shin Eugene would be the TOP VOTER. And because Tey Chien Shin Eugene voted SO MANY times, it would have been highly possible to be randomly selected as LUCKY VOTER.

AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

=> And that is why Tey Cindy won Malaysian Dreamgirl. <=

Conclusion:
i) Malaysia has been cheated out of their first Malaysian Dreamgirl.
ii) The Malaysian Dreamgirl winner, Tey Cindy, should be "Tey Chien Shin Eugene" Dreamgirl.

Tey Chien Shin Eugene even won RM1,000 worth of Escada fragrances 4 TIMES and RM500 Wella Professional Hamper 4 TIMES or possibly the RM10,000 preloaded AmBank NexG PrePaid MasterCard!!!

There is no justice in this world.

well that's what a reality show IS..that's how Daniel Lee of Malaysian Idol Season 2 won, only because he's somewhat CUTE to a certain age group of people who are naive and so on..

oh what the heck..live with it..

If you look closely, there's another two Teys in the list. Maybe related to Cindy too...

If you look closer, Zainal Rashid who is Hanis' dad is also in the top/lucky voter list.. Cheers!

jenkin: I am Daniel's fan. Have to say this first, later I kena shoot when you found out. But at that time, I did not feel Nita was any better than Daniel. And at least Daniel's family were not the only one voting or throwing in thousands of votes. I did not vote much. Probably 5 or so but he has a few fans who really vote all out for him including guy fans and aunties. One thing though, you cannot compare Daniel and Cindy. You just can't. =) Besides, the competition Daniel was in was the singing one where he needs fan base. So I am okay with it la, the voting system (i dun like Nita). But seriously, what does having fans got to do with modelling? The voting system is so wrong. T.T

hehehe, actually this is no secret. Unlimited SMS contests, to me, is pretty much just a money making business instead of a real 'competition'.

half voting half judge decides should do the job..

Ping Ping >> LOL well yeah..what u said is definitely true..Modelling doesn't need any fan-base and singing needs..

just like KY says, that's how the REALITY tv show biz is trying to make money..if it's shown on TV, they might not need SMSes like the American Next Top Model..

but on Internet, although the coverage is quite wide, especially among bloggers, but the publicity isn't really there yet..you MIGHT not know about this show if you are not a blogger or a blog reader..

umm..did i stressed out my point? :D well no offense, just my point of view :)

I saw someone with the surname Lee on the list. wonder if that person is related to Adeline Lee >_<

Hanis's dad on the list also.

But Cindy's family manage to beat them all! *applause*

Well, cannot blame the family la.

I'm sure everybody will do the same if their relative is in the show.

well let us face it, it's the reality!

You are such a stupid idiot. 'Zanial Rashid' is also in the top voter and lucky voter list. Just because Cindy won doesn't mean that it's her fault Hanis didn't win, for Hanis supporters. I honestly don't believe that Hanis' family would NOT spend more than 15k if they had known another contestant's family was sending the votes in as well. Hmm.

reality show result based on sms voting and usu for those 100% on sms voting is all money matter.
If you got money, you win!
No money, but good look and good in that show, DONT HARAP TO GO INTO FINAL without........ MONEY!

Everybody had the chance to do the same for the person they supported...
but only Eugene Tey went the extra mile...
He probably knew how much it meant to his sister so he decided to give it his all...

What's wrong with having your biggest fan spend excessive ammounts of money to vote for you?
What's wrong with having a member of your family as your biggest fan?
I guess people will still complain when an unknown guy comes up and piles up many votes for the one he supports.

The organisers could limit every phone number to one vote a day...
But would they?
Esp when people are willing to dish out hundreds every day?
It a freakin money making scam...

All opinions are welcomed on my blog but please refrain from name-calling. I merely stated the obvious and made an observation which is open for interpretation.

No money can't run the shows.

omg.. how unfair..

i guess most of the things in this day and age runs that way, unfortunately..

I think the best way is to moderate the votes. For eg, each number can only vote once every 24 hours or something like that.

That way it'll trully be a popularity contest. Not a my-family-is-richer-than-you contest.
